A scorcher!
1976...I was only 2 years old but simply reading this book has given me a idea of how hot that summer really was.
Charlie Owen's writing has the ability
to transport you there to feel, see, smell and almost taste the world in which these officers worked. Clearly written with many a true tale to back up his own experiences, I can get an idea of what life was like for those officers who have gone before me.
A truly exhilarating read.
