THE SUNDAY TIMES NO. 1 BESTSELLER
The tenth Logan McRae novel from the No. 1 bestselling author.
‘Top drawer … his most epic outing yet’ Independent
Trouble is coming…
Sergeant Logan McRae’s team find a body dumped in the woods – but is it the missing businessman they’ve been searching for, or something far more sinister? It doesn’t help that his ex-boss is taking over the case, a new Superintendent has it in for him, and Professional Standards are looming.
Even worse: Aberdeen’s criminal overlord, Wee Hamish Mowat, is dying and rival gangs all over the UK are eying his territory.
There’s a war brewing and Logan’s trapped right in the middle, whether he likes it or not.

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Quick-footed and brutally jagged, the 10th Logan McRae novel is among the best instalments of Stuart MacBride’s crime series. MacBride is a terrific writer, who captures the damp, forbidding Aberdeen scenery as deftly as his capable copper’s no-nonsense thought process. When McRae finds the mutilated body of a local businessman, he steps into an investigation laced with personal and professional threats. In the Cold, Dark Ground is a thrilling read for dark nights.

Logan is still running
Another well written and tautly plotted episode in the life of Logan McRae. Doric villainy continues to explode into his life “like plooks on a junkie” as his sometime colleague Inspector Steel would say but it is all good stuff if a bit overwrought.
I am not tired of the hero yet so I’ll go on reading and so should you
Amazing series
I LOVED this series! I read them one after the other and now feeling lost with no Logan and friends in my life!
The cold hard ground
Another Logan smash hit, I can't wait for the next instalment. Stuart mcbride is a genius and I have read everything he has written ( including short stories) I can't say anymore other than read this his work is standout.
