Death could be avoidable in some if not all situations.  Cheating death is not possible.  This gentleman did what he had to do to go from here to there.  He was entirely a space man and continues today to be a spaceman.  Most likely he was there when it all started; most likely he was there when it ended.  It was not, nor is not meant to be sexist…truth…this is about a guy and his life ( brief encounter ) on MARS.  Rather, a wonky tale of what it was like…amongst the dust…
