Publisher Description
Welcome to Much Ado About Books, a bookshop where dust and dreams sparkle in the air . . .
At thirty-three-years old, Evie's life in Chicago is missing that special something. When she's passed over for promotion at work, Evie realizes she needs to make a change. Impulsively, she plans a holiday in a quaint English village. The holiday package comes with a temporary position at Much Ado About Books, the bookshop underneath her new flat. There's no better getaway for the bookish Evie, a life-long Shakespeare lover.
Not only is Evie swept up in running the delightful store as soon as she arrives, she's drawn into the lives, loves and drama of the friendly villagers. Including Roane Robson, a ridiculously sexy farmer. In spite of their undeniable chemistry, Evie's determined to keep him at bay: she's got to go back to her real life, after all, and a holiday romance can only end in heartbreak . . . right?
Joyful, irresistible and utterly heart-warming, MUCH ADO ABOUT YOU is the perfect cosy getaway romance read for 2021.

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Immaturity and angst overshadow the joy in this disappointing romance from Young (the On Dublin Street series). When 33-year-old Chicagoan Evangeline Starling is passed over for a promotion and stood up for dinner after a month of online flirtation, she quits her job and radically reevaluates her life, adopting the mantra "No more men who made me doubt myself. No more job that made me feel like a failure." Conveniently, the owner of quaint English bookshop Much Ado About Books needs someone to mind her store for a month, and Shakespeare-obsessed Anglophile Evie jumps at the chance. She meets local Roane Robson after risking her life to save his beloved Great Dane from being hit by a car, instantly earning his respect. Roane is a charming, earnest suitor, and their meet-cute is lovely, but Evie herself is recycled from rom-com stereotypes. She meddles in local affairs like a modern-day Emma and is rewarded rather than criticized for her interference. Her incoherent resistance to romance, though, is a superficial salve for her insecurities and puts a serious damper on the love story. Though billed as a romantic comedy, there's more melancholy than humor here, and not enough depth to back up the heavy emotions. This is a let down.

Wonderful, entertaining romance
Evangeline ‘Evie’ Starling has had it with her life in Chicago, she needs a change in scenery and she needs to recalibrate, and when the chance to run a book store in the North East of England is presented to her, she jumps at it. What she isn’t expecting is to fall in love with Northumberland, and in particular the beautiful village of Alnster and all its residents, including sexy farmer Roane Robson and his Great Dane, Shadow. Lots happening in this dreamy romance as Evie and Roane become firm friends. Roane makes it clear he’s up for more, but stubborn Evie is unwilling to risk heartache. Wonderful characters, so many personalities in this one village, all written with passion and heart. Fun, emotional and compelling. The fact that the story was based in Northumberland really worked for me. Northumberland is one of my favourite places, and I have so many fond memories from holidays there. It really is heaven on earth. A truly wonderful, entertaining romance. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
