“5 stars!!! Smart, funny, sexy and all around wonderful!” -Book Babes Unite Blog
“Such a fun read! A quirky, nerdy, shy girl and a sexy, hot alpha male.” -Goodreads reviewer
There are three things you need to know about Janie Morris: 1) She is incapable of engaging in a conversation without volunteering TMTI (Too Much Trivial Information), especially when she is unnerved, 2) No one unnerves her more than Quinn Sullivan, and 3) She doesn't know how to knit.
After losing her boyfriend, apartment, and job in the same day, Janie Morris can't help wondering what new torment fate has in store.
To her utter mortification, Quinn Sullivan—aka Sir McHotpants—witnesses it all then keeps turning up like a pair of shoes you lust after but can't afford. The last thing she expects is for Quinn to make her an offer she can't refuse.

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
No job. No boyfriend. Nowhere to live. The day isn’t exactly going well for Janie Morris—until an incredibly handsome stranger offers her the opportunity of a lifetime. There’s more than one catch, of course, and it’s a delight to read on as Janie navigates (well, awkwardly fumbles through) a tumultuous, yet exciting time in her life. She’s a flawed heroine: her anxious overthinking, often on display via her blurting out of random facts and details to those around her, makes her character resoundingly human, adding humorous relatability to this romantic comedy. Lighthearted, fun and easy to read, Neanderthal Seeks Human has us excited about the rest of Penny Reid’s Knitting in the City series.
Customer Reviews
Very enjoyable.
A very enjoyable and entertaining book. The characters are lovable and relatable, the story line has more depth and is more true to life in terms of human nature than most romantic novels, and it's funny.
A 5 star read
What an incredible first novel from this author. I love the way Janie speaks her rambling thoughts out loud, what a character, she reminds me of Don Tillman in 'The Rosie Project'. Now big decision time: do I get the follow-up book to continue the story or will I be disappointed if the standard of writing is not as good?
Genuinely the…
Funniest book I’ve ever read!
Which is why I’ve read it several times… it make me laugh out loud, it makes me feel happy. The characters are wonderful. The writing is so good you feel 100% ‘in the book’.. I highly recommend.. enjoy! : )
