Black throughout
I cannot speak too highly of this book. It seamlessly blends good old-fashioned spying, a satisfactory amount of craft and violence, with the current concern about historic child abuse. For once the hero’s back story is truly relevant to the plot. A Berlin that we have all forgotten, possibly chosen to forget, will live on with me for some time and the confusion of friends and enemies and motives is at once credible but extraordinary.
I could not put this down. I will read more.

Not a well put together story. Wouldn’t recommend reading his others if this is what they’re like.
