Excellent Oxford-based thriller
This is a taut, well-told tale which had me glued to it from start to finish, as all good thrillers should. Just one thing really annoyed me: as any resident of Oxford knows, we always refer to our main hospital, the world-famous John Radcliffe, as the ‘JR’, not, as throughout this novel,as the ‘John Rad’. The author is evidently not a resident of Oxford.
So good!
After I read some other reviews I was worried that it’s a “bad” book but it’s not! It’s incredibly sad but miss Hunter always seems to be able to put the finger on exactly how real people would react and how we misunderstand and misread things. Maybe some of the twists and turns were a bit too, I don’t know, unnecessary and unnerving but all in all it’s another great written book! On to the next!!
Predictable but still good
I liked reading this book after reading the first two I thought this was going to be the same but it wasn’t, still a good read but book one and two are so much better. I think also I didn’t like seeing the break between Alex and fawley...
