The queen of angst does it again! I have been so looking forward to this book and it was perfect! I love that we see characters of old and get to know how they are doing too!

Our two leads are Jax and Sophie, they have known and loved each other since they were teenagers. However with love young often comes heartbreak, lies, secrets and so many emotions. They connection is soul deep from the very beginning, they are two halves of the same heart but don’t yet know it. They have a relationship when they are younger but inevitably go their separate ways, broken-hearted and angry with the world.

Jax is a handsome NFL star, he says he’s not ready to settle down or find ‘the one’ but could that be cause he found her a long time ago and let her be ‘the one who got away’? He is possessive, protective, a real alphahole for sure! He will stop at nothing to get what he wants, even if that means p*ssing off a few to get it.
His reputation is on the line when he decides to move to another team, they say it was money, he says it was opportunity. Let the scandal begin…

Second Chance Scandal
was an addictive read.

I started it late evening and couldn’t put it down until I finished it the next morning.

The story of Jax and Sophie was just so easy to read. Jax was a successful quarterback, and Sophie was his college sweetheart, but also his best kept secret.

Their connection was apparent from the start and we got to see flashbacks throughout the book of their history intermingled with their modern day story.

I won’t go into too much detail to avoid spoilers, but I adored Jax. His dirty mouth, and alpha personality was just delicious. The way he loved and treated Sophie when they reconnected.. I was here for it. I understood her hesitation, so seeing him work for what they could have was just magic.

I was so intrigued to get the answers to this book, that I really couldn’t put it down and I’m so glad I didn’t! Loved it.

And that little sneak peek at book 4!! Ahhh! Can’t wait!
