Publisher Description
Alice Collins knows that normal families don’t call themselves a dynasty, but for the House of Morgan, power is the only language spoken. Years ago, Alice buried her childhood crush on John Morgan alongside the memory of his sister, Victoria. But when she attends the funeral of the Morgan patriarch to save her family’s farm contract, the past doesn't just haunt her, it walks through the front door.
John Morgan, an FBI agent who traded his billionaire inheritance for a badge, is stunned when his "dead" sister reappears just as a sniper’s red laser settles on Alice’s forehead. Forced into protective custody at a secure Pinecrest estate, John is determined to shield Alice from a mysterious stalker who is targeting everyone he loves.
As the danger intensifies, Alice must navigate a world of billionaire secrets and a brother’s betrayal. In this forced proximity struggle for survival, she must choose: reclaim her independence or trust the man who has always held her heart, even if he is the son of the man she was taught to fear.

Secret crush
Badly written but good story.
Great idea but writing disjointed
This book has such a good story line but the writing felt disjointed. It felt rushed and jumped around too much. It was like the writer started half way through conversations and I struggled to make sense of half of the book. If it was re written I would definitely give it another try as the story line could be fantastic.
A Shame
Poorly written, but a good plot.
Read the authors other books which are much better. I couldn’t finish this one.
Story line feels rushed, everything happening at once and everything so close to the surface, nothing implicit. Maybe one of the authors earlier works? Her other books are good.
