ANYONE WHO LOVES SARAH'S PUFFIN ISLAND SERIES WILL LOVE SLEEPLESS IN MANHATTAN.
Sarah Morgan has the best timing ever, I don't know if it's fate but she seems to be releasing a new book when I hit some of my lowest points.
I'll admit I am a hopeless romantic, I love, love and though I am not normally one to read about love in the cities with their high-rise buildings, where everyone and everything appears anonymous, I cant help but love Sleepless in Manhattan.
Sarah made even the biggest of cities seem small and intimate, her descriptions of Paige's neighbourhood reminded me a little of the film You've Got Mail and I could envision myself there in the scenes.
I am an emotional reader, I get so involved in books that I can often be found sobbing on the train as I commute to work, the regulars no longer ask me if I'm okay :D I have found myself particularly taken with Paige's character, her background and her school girl crush on Jake, I have been there, done that and been forever scarred, Sarah brought all those emotions back to me, her writing so clear and the heart-breaking embarrassment just jumped off the page.
All the characters in this series are so welcoming, letting me pry into their lives, and I cant help but revel in their stories, I am looking forward to Eva's and Frankie's as I predict more fun and fireworks ahead.
