APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Journalist and broadcaster Dawn O’Porter won us over with the powerful The Cows, but she clearly held back some biting wit and ferocious honesty for this, her third novel. Following three women, the split-narrative tale reminds us that no life is perfect. Beth, Ruby and Lauren are all wishing for something, anything, to make their situations a little bit easier. O’Porter touches on themes of self-doubt, body confidence and whether women really can have it all—all with her signature wicked, self-deprecating humour. By the final pages, we were cheering the girls on to force the meaningful changes they—and so many of us—desperately need.
