A sexy smile. Intense blue eyes. A goodness that makes him want to save me from these rumors when no one else would care. I didn't ask for a hero. William Bailey was never supposed to be anything more than a wish, a dream, an unrequited crush. Not for a girl like me--a girl whose fractured family has stolen her chance at a decent life.
Since the death of my parents, I've always done what’s expected of me, what's "best" for me. Until Cally. The moment her haunted eyes meet mine, the fractured pieces of my heart feel whole again. I don’t just want to save her. I need her to save me.
Stolen chances. Unbroken wishes. Two lonely souls grasping for hope in the darkness.
**This novella takes place seven years before the events in WISH I MAY and shows William and Cally falling in love for the first time. It can be read before or after WISH I MAY or on its own.**

Stolen Wishes made mine come true
This is the amazing prequel to ‘Wish I May’ by Lexi Ryan.
I’m sure fans of Lexi will already know that book and the back story well – that of William Bailey and Cally Fisher, the latter years and how it ends. I know I’m not alone when I say I’ve read it over and over again. As I have the book before that ‘Unbreak Me’.
For those who are new to the ‘New Hope’ Series – William and Cally’s story is one of true love that faces adversity at every turn and the hardship that faces so many people but yet is left unspoken so often. They are all must reads as are the rest of Lexi’s books. They do however work excellently as stand alone books.
This Novella however takes us to where they began, seven years earlier in high school in New Hope. Young love in its first bloom. The first few pages are their history in the making – those first few words spoken to each other.
It’s in those first few pages, lines even, that you know Lexi’s got you hooked again and you just can’t put it down. I found myself grumbling and growling at any disturbance I got!
The description of their first physical contact, Will doing a tequila body shot off of Cally at a party, their first date and subsequent kiss.
There’s a line that Will says to Cally which is – “This is my favourite time of day”. Although he continues to say to her “the part where I’m next to you” (ok, I know, stop swooning). I sort of know what he means when he says this, because my favourite part of the day has been when I had chance to sit down and read their story.
I could mention so many moments of this book that we know of from ‘Wish I may’ if you’ve read it. If you haven’t and this is all new to you remember them as they’ll come back to you when you read it after ‘Stolen Wishes’ and I guarantee you will. The stars, Cally’s love of strawberry wine and the times on the dock. Where – ‘Hello Cally’ comes from! There’s also so much more I want to say about this book that’s new to the story but I’ll get carried away and tell you everything so I won’t. You need to read this yourself, which I suggest so strongly you do, you won’t be disappointed. Then you’ll know why I, like so many others love this couple and series so much.
So my lasting words have to be as always – Thank you Lexi for another chance to escape into a world of someone else’s and to dream their dreams.
