★★★★★ “This is not a romance, it is a story about first love, first heartbreak and growing up. It is a story that helps to build foundation upon who someone is at their core, and what makes them strong, vulnerable, loving, caring and heartbroken but willing to take chances and learn to love again.” (Goodreads)

As a rule-following teenager, Dahlia Ellis never imagined that falling for the wrong person would set off a roller coaster of emotions and consequences. She should have stayed away from Jeff, her best friend's older brother, but she never couldn't resist him. Shattering her best friend's heart—the one person who has stood by her since childhood—left them both with scars that only time can heal. Jeff Hills never planned to fall for his brother’s best friend, nor for the ensuing dilemma. Yet, despite the chaos in his life, their relationship is the only certainty he holds onto.
As they grow older and Dahlia's life takes her across the globe and Jeff enlists, they must learn to navigate their new reality and relationship while living thousands of miles apart, and embrace the highs and lows of love, learning to listen to their hearts. What starts as a simple attraction turns into a whirlwind romance fueled by passion and secrets that could break them. Just when they think they have it all figured out, life throws an unexpected curveball that threatens to tear them apart for good.
Can their love withstand the trials and tribulations that come their way, and can Jeff and Dahlia survive the ordeals life throws at them?
Sweet Agony is a standalone novel and the first installment of the Whiskey Melody series and Dahlia Ellis’s prequel story. It can be read by itself or before Cruel Destiny.

Absolutely Amazing and Emotional Book
This is book two in The Pink and Country Series and it is Dahlia and Jeff's story and omg get the tissues ready because you are definitely going to need them. Dahlia and Carter are best friend's and have been since they were children and they have such a strong connection between them and spent nearly all there time together singing and making music but the older Dahlia got the more her feelings for Carter's brother Jeff got stronger and that caused so much conflict because she knew that Carter had always had strong feelings for her as well so when Jeff asked her to the prom Carter encouraged her to go even though his heart broke. As time passed Dahlia and Jeff fell more in love but Carter was still an important part of them and they included him in everything that they did but when Dahlia and Carter became famous and started doing sell out tour's Jeff needed something special for himself so he went into the military but he came back a different person. Would Dahlia and Jeff make it through all of the dark time's or would it break them apart only time will tell what the outcome would be. I absolutely loved this book but it was also so emotional that I cried so much reading everything that they were all going through but the strength of the connection between Dahlia, Jeff and Carter was so strong and they were always there for each other regardless of the situations. There are twists and turns along with loss, betrayal, secrets, hope, love and so many emotional situations that I couldn't put this book down and I can't wait to read the next one in this series. Emmanuelle Snow is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and on the edge of their seats and her books are so addictive that I definitely recommend you read them. Even though each book is a standalone one I really suggest that you start reading from the beginning to get the full effect of this series and you will definitely not be disappointed.
