★★★★★ “If I could give more than 5 stars, I would."
★★★★★ “This is not a romance, it is a story about first love, first heartbreak and growing up. It is a story that helps to build foundation upon who someone is at their core, and what makes them strong, vulnerable, loving, caring and heartbroken but willing to take chances and learn to love again.”
Sweet Agony is a compelling tale of love, friendship, and self-discovery that will tug at your heartstrings and leave you questioning the true nature of happiness and fulfillment.
In a world where love knows no boundaries, Dahlia Ellis discovers that loving the wrong person can set in motion a roller coaster of emotions and consequences. As a girl who has always played by the rules, falling in love with Jeff—the one guy she should’ve stayed away from—shattered the heart of her best friend, leaving them both with scars that only time can heal. Jeff Hills never planned to fall for his brother’s best friend and for the dilemma that would follow. Yet, no matter how crazy his life gets, their relationship is the only thing he’s sure of.
Now, on a journey of self-discovery, embracing the highs and lows of love and learning to listen to their hearts, Dahlia and Jeff’s love brings them the greatest joy and the deepest pain, testing their convictions and challenging their strength. What starts as a simple attraction turns into a whirlwind romance, pushing them to break free from the constraints of their past and embrace the unknown while they navigate a new sense of passion they never knew existed. But just when they thought they had it all, life throws an unexpected curveball at them that threatens to tear them apart.
Can their love withstand the trials and tribulations that come their way, but mostly, can they survive the ordeal life put on their journey?
Sweet Agony is a standalone novel and the first installment of the Whiskey Melody series and Dahlia Ellis’s story.
I was the girl with a plan. Aways had been. I was the girl never getting in trouble, always following the rules. For some reason, falling in love with the one guy I shouldn’t sent most of my plans flying.
Being with him wakes up something in me. Feelings I never knew existed. I’m done being the good girl, the one everyone expects to act accordingly to what’s best for everyone else.
Now I want to live for myself. To experiment it all. The good, the bad, the exhilaration, and the thrill of being in love. Reach for all my dreams, follow my heart, and give him every piece of me. With no restraint.
What I didn’t know, is that life had other plans for me. For us. And for my heart.
Our love should have been simple. Until it wasn’t. Until we face a challenge that seems impossible to overcome.
As we find our way back to each other, our careful and fragile equilibrium is shaken again.
Can we survive the heartache and throw caution to the wind and learn to navigate this new reality? Together? Or should we just call it quit and never trust love with our hearts again?

Absolutely Amazing and Emotional Book
This is book two in The Pink and Country Series and it is Dahlia and Jeff's story and omg get the tissues ready because you are definitely going to need them. Dahlia and Carter are best friend's and have been since they were children and they have such a strong connection between them and spent nearly all there time together singing and making music but the older Dahlia got the more her feelings for Carter's brother Jeff got stronger and that caused so much conflict because she knew that Carter had always had strong feelings for her as well so when Jeff asked her to the prom Carter encouraged her to go even though his heart broke. As time passed Dahlia and Jeff fell more in love but Carter was still an important part of them and they included him in everything that they did but when Dahlia and Carter became famous and started doing sell out tour's Jeff needed something special for himself so he went into the military but he came back a different person. Would Dahlia and Jeff make it through all of the dark time's or would it break them apart only time will tell what the outcome would be. I absolutely loved this book but it was also so emotional that I cried so much reading everything that they were all going through but the strength of the connection between Dahlia, Jeff and Carter was so strong and they were always there for each other regardless of the situations. There are twists and turns along with loss, betrayal, secrets, hope, love and so many emotional situations that I couldn't put this book down and I can't wait to read the next one in this series. Emmanuelle Snow is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and on the edge of their seats and her books are so addictive that I definitely recommend you read them. Even though each book is a standalone one I really suggest that you start reading from the beginning to get the full effect of this series and you will definitely not be disappointed.
