Fantastic
This is a collection of short stories based in the Moomin world but concentrating more on the peripheral characters than the Moomin family themselves.
These stories have a deeper, more philosophical, feel than the rest of the Moomin series and feel slightly more adult orientated so are probably not best suited to very young children, even if they're Moomin fans. Older children should love them, though.
All of the stories are typically great Jansson fare but one or two really stand out as some of her finest Moomin work ("The Fillyjonk Who Believed In Disasters" & "The Hemulen Who Loved Silence" are my particular favourites).
Highly recommended to all Moomin fans and anyone else who appreciates superb writing for children.
