A Good Read
This short story is an essential prelude to The Queen's Witch and sets the scene perfectly - while being a good story in its own right. You want to know what comes next, so it's a good job The Queen's Witch tales the tale on. Typical Karen Chance - strong characters, exciting plot and a large helping of confusion!
The gauntlet
Read the last paragraph and thought 'right so this isn't the introduction then'. On the whole a childish read but, one which I felt could have improved further into the book. Alas, that is the book. This is a essay not a book and more suited to those below the age for the Twilight series.
