Customer Reviews
A tale of two halves
Enthralling intrigue and mystery will carry you to the peak of this tales merits at its middle. However the stories' decent into mediocrity thereafter is disappointing; and simply fizzles out with what seems like a self indulgent, ostentatious demonstration of an author keen to convey his prowess in other specialisms. Finally we end with a character's fairly uninteresting, prosaic explanation of prior events which only further adds to the shortcomings of the latter half of the book. What a shame.
