'Hard, fast, and unflinching-exactly what a thriller should be.' Lee Child

To those who lurk in the shadows, he's known as the Gray Man. He is a legend in the covert realm, moving silently from job to job, accomplishing the impossible and then fading away. And he always hits his target.

But there are forces more lethal than Gentry in the world. Forces like money. And power. And there are men who hold these as the only currency worth fighting for. In their eyes, Gentry has just outlived his usefulness.

But Court Gentry is going to prove that, for him, there's no grey area between killing for a living and killing to stay alive...

The Grey Man

Really good read for these dark nights. Seems to be the start of a ace series...

Hmmmmm

There’s a lot here that just defies any human ability. Yes it’s a story of fiction however the main character by his final full on advance to contact suffering with:

A large calibre gunshot wound to his leg.
Large glass cuts to his feet and knees
A broken rib
A opened stab wound received an three hours previous
A fall of over 30ft into freezing water and multiple beatings.

Not only does he attack a fortified castle full of Tier one units from all over the world he does so with relatively little effort.

I really don’t think the author understands how military units work.
Yes you can go to a tactical centre and train with CP trainers but get an understanding of why this would have been over with before he left the orchard cover watch a steel target at 150m when it’s hit with a 7.62 from a semi automatic rifle.

If you enjoy complete fiction and have no real world understanding of tactics and combat skills then you will enjoy this.

A brilliant read

I took an interest in reading this book after seeing the movie adaptation and it didn’t disappoint. Several key scenes in the on screen drama match up to the written story however if you’ve never seen the movie the visual imagery is not required as the book is not short of the action packed adrenaline that almost makes you feel immersed as a witness. I’ve really enjoyed this read and will continue with the rest in series.
