Kind of predictable toward the end but Oscar is a genius
I like the intricacies in the storyline and how it flows so easily when redding it.
A Handbag....!?
Has to be one of the greatest lines ever! Never fails to amuse me :)
Wonderfully absurd and typically Wilde, this witty little farce has been one of my all time favourites since my first introduction, and I would urge anyone who has yet to read it to do so asap!
Brilliant!
I adore Oscar Wilde and his ability to make you laugh at people being people. This is a story that talks of lies, mistakes identity and the class systems within England.
It is humorous and interesting making you think about the fact that if you lie you will always flee found out. This is a lesson I think many need to understand.
Also it seems interesting to see how the class system affects how the characters conduct themselves and make decisions, it also highlights the loss in respect people have now a days which is unfortunate.
I must say that the play did make me laugh at the sheer stupidity of the things we do that are merely human and trivial.
I also will add that I am a massive fan girl of Oscar Wilde so my positivity may be biased
