APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Plato’s The Republic looks daunting, but once we dove in we found it to be remarkably readable—and amazingly relevant. This landmark philosophical tract may have been written 2395 years ago, but it grapples with some very modern quandaries: What makes a society ethical? What defines a citizen? Is wealth always a corrupting influence? The Greek intellectual’s enduring masterpiece is a must-read for anyone engaged in politics, urban affairs or the complex art of being human.

One of the most important books for Politico
Any PPE, Politics or International Relations students should start with The Republic and The History of the Peloponnesian war and then move on to Kissinger’s Diplomacy, Vietnam, WH Years and A world restored. Then move to Zbigniews’s Grand Chessboard.
A masterpiece
This is Plato's masterpiece translated in a manner that makes it an easy task for the modern reader. May I also recommend the audiobook from Ejunto which gives a verbatim account of this edition.
