Just wonderful, so clever, I have read it at least six times and always find something new in it.
Too much irrelevant backstory
Generally an admirer of Margaret Atwood, this one left me cold. In essence, it just needed a good editing to cut out the long series of backstories. Whilst they added some context for how the women acted, they had no bearing on the main plot and could have been significantly reduced without impacting the overall thrust of the book.
