Good!

Struggled to get into to start with but when I did I couldn’t put it down!

Amazing!

I read a lot of romance novels and this was a refreshing change. The falling in love part of a love story is a wonderful and captivating thing, but nine times out of ten the characters only get together right at the end of the book. If you’re lucky you might get an epilogue that gives you a glimpse into the life of the couple after the ‘happily ever after’.

But this book gives you the moment of attraction, the early stages of dating, and the romantic every day lives of the couple as they settle into a relationship.

With that being said, the plot isn’t without it’s conflicts and bumps in the road that keep it intriguing. I loved how well fleshed out and carefully thought through the author had made the characters and the relationships between them. I particularly enjoyed how much detail there was about Jess’ career and the very real nature of it. I can’t stand when women in romance novels have no side to them other than the romance they’re entangled in.

In short, I absolutely loved this book. Possibly the best novel I’ve read this year. Cannot wait to read more from Jules Wake 🌟
