Maggie’s English-language pupil Catalina is soon to be married to Don Sebastian of Spain. Despite both parties consenting to the marriage, Maggie believes her student is far too young to enter a loveless marriage at only eighteen. At Catalina’s behest, Maggie agrees to go with her to Spain in order to be her bridesmaid. Maggie’s first impression of Sebastian was that of an overbearing dictator, but she can’t help but notice the dashing don possesses a dangerous charm.
