Publisher Description
The third book in acclaimed author Kristin Vayden’s Regency historical series set in an elite gentleman’s club, no place for a London debutante. But what happens at Temptation stays at Temptation . . . or does it?
Dogged by gossip and scandal, Ramsey Scott, Marquess of Sterling, is the last man who should stand guard over lovely Miss Grace Morgan, much less fall for her. When the innocent’s first outings of the season land her in Temptation, the private club Ramsey manages, he longs to take her in his arms and keep her there, if only his past would allow it. Their friendship will have to suffice—but as Grace blooms in society, Ramsey feels her slipping from his grasp. Until she lures him into his greatest temptation yet . . .
She should never have come to his office unattended. But how else was Grace to get Ramsey’s romantic attention? Yet now she is left waiting for a proposal that may never come—and wondering if Ramsey’s vexing propriety will force her to marry another . . .

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Vayden matches the headstrong, unconventional Lady Iris Grace Morgan, the ward of Lord Kilpatrick, with the strait-laced Ramsey Scott, Marquess of Sterling, in this well-constructed third installment of the Gentlemen of Temptation series (an improvement over its predecessor, Escaping His Grace). Grace's name is the only thing about her that fits the description. She dances on toes and often has trouble controlling her tongue, things the proper Ramsey would presumably abhor in a potential match. However, after a scandalous marriage, he has no intention of wedding again. When Grace's wild behavior shocks other people at a ball, Ramsey takes her under his wing in order to save her reputation, as Kilpatrick is one of his best friends. Their intellect and wit connect the duo even more than their obvious physical attraction to each other. An adversary from Ramsey's past shows interest in Grace, but the gentlemen join forces to uncover his sinister plan, and Ramsey comes to terms with his true feelings for Grace while dealing with self-esteem issues stemming from being abused in the past. The gentlemen are devilishly delicious, the ladies are charming, and the story has a good balance of romance and suspense. Series fans will especially appreciate Grace's growth as a character. This fine story gives the series a boost.
