APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
A world built on lies unravels in Hugh Howey’s compelling dystopian trilogy. After the earth’s surface becomes toxic and uninhabitable, humanity is sorted into three levels in a series of underground silos, where they’re safe from the contaminated environment. But the status quo is threatened when the truth about the silo’s history comes to light, forcing lower-level mechanic Juliette and top-tier architect Donald to join forces and free their society from repression and lies. With a clever mix of steampunk engineering and futuristic technology, Howey builds a clanging, dark, and claustrophobic world—with a creative premise that feels eerily plausible. The inspiration for an Apple Original series, these post-apocalyptic books are thrilling—and the bundle makes it easy to binge-read ’em!
I loved this. Could not put it down. Amazingly well written. So glad to have found a new author (new to me). Great!
This is a brilliant story. I was recommended it by a friend and it didn't disappoint. I normally read Stephen King and I would put Hugh's writing style and quality not far behind. Great twists and a plot that keeps you gripped till the very end. The great (scary) thing about this book is it could so be true. 👍
