APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
She writes a thriller a year and this is her 10th, but Douglas shows no sign of genre fatigue–indeed The Wrong Sister is one of those rare domestic noir novels where you genuinely don’t spot the twists until they’re upon you. Tasha, a young mum of twins who’s a bit bored with her life, plans a “life swap” holiday with her glam, high-achieving sister Alice. So off Tasha and her husband swan to Alice’s fancy flat in Venice, while Alice and her hot, rich, successful partner arrive in Tasha’s close-knit community to babysit the twins. Things soon start to go horribly, violently wrong, and bodies begin to pile up. Douglas deftly captures the airlessness of smalltown life, where everyone knows everyone else’s business, and submerged secrets have a habit of bubbling up to the surface.
Customer Reviews
Overall good
A good book, lots of twists and a good plot. Not really worth £7.99 as it was a bit basic and lacked depth/tension in some parts. Overall, enjoyable.
Easy enjoyable read
It’s a page turner for sure
Intresting
Many many twists and turns! Nice easy read, a few loose ends but I enjoy that!
