Half the man, twice the lawyer.
In the small city of Strattenburg, there are many lawyers, and though he's only thirteen years old, Theo Boone thinks he's one of them. Theo knows every judge, policeman, court clerk - and a lot about the law. He dreams of being a great trial lawyer, of a life in the courtroom. But Theo finds himself in court much sooner than he expected. Because he knows so much - maybe too much - he is suddenly dragged into the middle of a sensational murder trial. A cold-blooded killer is about to go free, and only Theo knows the truth. The stakes are high, but Theo won't stop until justice is served.

...a rather short book and the end is a little sudden. It feels somewhat unfinished after a promising start with the usual Grisham ingredients.
The mystery is solved once you realise there is a continuation! "Theodor Boon the Accused". So make sure you read both books and in the right order! Maybe it should have been pointed out in the summaries that these books are sequences.
Rather fitting is the slightly lighter style as the story is centred around 13 year old Theo Boon, which makes the book suitable for readers of that age group. Thus it could be a good introduction to the world of Grisham for a young audience.
This is such a great book but it seems that the reviews are swamped by adults thinking that this wasn't a kids book! Seriously how dumb can you get! It's so disappointing to a kid I found that these were amazing and I've read a whole one every day since I picked up the first one, but the reviews make people not buy it
If found this book very interesting. A good quick, easy and pleasant read.
