There was only one woman who could set me free.
But I would rather set myself on fire than ask Sloane Walton for anything.
Lucian Rollins is a lean, mean vengeance-seeking mogul. Determined to erase his abusive father's mark on his family name, he spends every waking minute pulling strings and building his empire. The more money and power he gains, the safer he feels.
Except when it comes to one feisty small-town librarian.
Although they are bonded by a dark secret from the past and their current mutual disdain, Sloane Walton only trusts Lucian as far as she can throw him. Until their bickering accidentally turns to foreplay, fanning flames of desire that can't be put out.
But with Sloane eager to start a family and Lucian refusing to even consider the idea, these enemies-to-lovers are stuck at an impasse.
And when Lucian learns the hard way that leaving Sloane is impossible, he vows to do everything he can to keep her safe. Whatever the cost . . .
UK Sunday Times bestseller, September 2023.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Adrift after losing her father, strong-willed librarian Sloane Walton finds herself once again sparring with the wealthy and ambitious Lucian Rollins. The two share a dark chapter of history, going all the way back to their teen years. But as they graduate from bitter enemies to heated lovers, Sloane sees many roadblocks along their path forward. Set in the small Virginia town of Knockemout, this is the final book in Lucy Score’s charming romance series of the same name. Characters from previous books show up on the periphery, but Things We Left Behind is all about the acid-laced banter and palpable sexual tension between Sloane and Lucian. In addition to her trademark wit, Score gives the trilogy a satisfying—and quite emotional—sense of closure.

Loved it, great end to the series
I really, really enjoyed the first two books of the series and was worried it would end on a bit of a wobble, but it was so great. Yes, it is a HEA, but they don’t get there in the most obvious way. I love Lucy Score, she is an auto-buy for me and she only reinforced that with this book. Only downside is no more books in the series. Would love to see Waylay’s book…
