Meet the neighbours you'll love to hate . . .

'You're in for a treat!' Lisa Jewell
‘Twists aplenty, and such wonderful observation - I loved it' Clare Mackintosh
‘A feverish atmosphere is built up, with Candlish again skewering the peccadilloes and prejudices of her middle-class characters’ Sunday Times
'An addictive, twisty page-turner about the neighbours from hell' Alice Feeney

Until Darren and Jodie move in, Lowland Way is a suburban paradise. Beautiful homes. Friendly neighbours. Kids playing out in the street. But Darren and Jodie don't follow the rules and soon disputes over loud music and parking rights escalate to threats of violence.

Then, early one Sunday, a horrific crime shocks the street. As the police go house-to-house, the residents close ranks and everyone's story is the same: They did it.

But there's a problem. The police don't agree. And the door they're knocking on next is yours.

Keeps you going but no ending

Interesting read that kept you guessing and absorbed in the ‘what happens next’ but the ending is shocking. It’s safe to say there actually isn’t an ending and when you realise there’s no more book left it’s extremely frustrating. It leaves a lot of unanswered questions and what the point in the overall story was.

Don’t waste your money

I wish I’d listened to another review saying the ending was terrible, because it really was. No strong story line throughout, no memorable characters, and an ending so tame and terrible I laughed out loud. Don’t waste your time or money reading this.

Disappointing

Very long winded, monotonous and not up to the usual standard. Waited for some shock value but none came. Overall I didn’t really enjoy it and skipped several pages per chapter but still didn’t miss anything. Sure this is a one off as I love her other books.
