Amazing sequel
The book was amazing. No idea how you came up with the plot or can write so eloquently. Awesome choice or words too in some the descriptions at the beginning of the book. And finally, this is probably the first book I’ve read with no errors. I mean literally no spelling mistakes, misplaced words or alternative thoughts left in.
Simply brilliant. Well done Matt!!
Another fine action-packed thrill ride
A page turner from Matt, finished in two days I think! Another global disaster to be averted by the Kestrel team - the characters are well drawn and despite the sometimes fantastical material, Matt’s precise attention to detail gives everything a strongly believable feel.
It draws its canvas wider that the simple good guys/bad guys conflict and raises many very pertinent issues which are woven into the story. It’s food for thought even after putting the book to bed. I felt that, much more than Changer, there’s much more of Matt in this novel in terms of physical places and personal consideration of world issues. I loved this extra dimension.
If I didn’t give it five stars it was only because Changer was such an almost unbearably gripping tale which had me ‘firmly by throat’ in places and Toll never reached that level of nerve-shredding tension. However, a really enjoyable read in its own right and definitely recommended.
Fast, action-packed thriller
The narrative is snappy, the characters engaging and the locations enticing. A great read from start to finish. Toll is an excellent follow-up to Changer, the first novel in the Kestrel series.
I cant wait for the next
