A caption of the brave. The Elton family.
I enjoyed the book so much but enjoyed Ben,s family sager as he wrote it with them in mind. I did however think the ending left you wondering, well is that it) it was just a bit rushed when marrying Billy and had his 4 children which I thought was an after thought. Enjoyed the book though.
First Ben Elton read - brilliant
Such immersive writing conveying some of the wickedness German Jews endured as their everyday lives changed, fuelled by Hitlers ideology. The characters stories so brilliantly written. Especially impactful at this time as read in early Spring25 when it’s becoming clear history can repeat itself when power and egos are given the chance and inclusion and difference are shunned.
Beautiful writing
This is such a sad story told very well. It is enthralling.
