'The best I've read of Elton's many bestsellers' The Times
Imagine a world where no one you have ever known or loved has been born yet. Perhaps they never will be.
1st June 1914: this is Hugh Stanton's reality. Ex-soldier and celebrated adventurer, he is is quite literally the loneliest man on earth.
Stanton knows that a great and terrible war is coming. A collective suicidal madness that will destroy European civilization and bring misery to millions in the century to come.
He knows this because, for him, that century is already history.
Somehow he must change that history. He must prevent the war.
A war that will begin with a single bullet. But can a single bullet truly corrupt an entire century?
And, if so, could another single bullet save it?
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Prolific British writer Ben Elton puts his lively imagination to good use with this dramatic tale of tragedy, redemption and time travel. After the death of his family, retired army captain Hugh Stanton is morose and apathetic. But when his Cambridge mentor recruits him for a risky mission that could alter the course of 20th-century history, Stanton reconnects with his adventurous spirit. Bursting with vivid imagery and surprising twists, Time and Time Again is a wildly entertaining page-turner.

Thanks Mr Elton. Bad enough that my twins wake me on average 4 times a night….but throw into the mix that I couldn’t put this down and read until 1am…..I’m one tired, grouchy mummy yet thrilled to have experienced this gem of yours!!! Going to have to limit my reading of your novels to one a year!!!
