Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers features a group of fun, flirty, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They're sassy, flawed, and so easy to relate to, you'll be begging to enter their circle of friends!
Whispers at Seaside by Addison Cole is the sweet edition of New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster's steamy romance novel Seaside Whispers. The story conveys all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or harsh language.
In WHISPERS AT SEASIDE...
Having a mad crush on her boss's son, Matt Lacroux--an intriguing mix of proper gentleman and flirtatious bad boy--is probably not the smartest idea for single mother Mira Savage. Especially when the company, and her job, is already on shaky ground. But as a Princeton professor, Matt's life is hours away from Mira's home on Cape Cod, keeping him safely in the fantasy-only zone. And as a single mother to six-year-old Hagen, with a floundering company to save, fantasies are all she has time for.
With hopes of becoming dean off the table, and too many months of longing for a woman who lived too far away to pursue, Matt's publishing contract couldn't have come at a better time. He heads home to Cape Cod on a brief sabbatical, intent on starting his book, and finally getting his arms around sweet, beautiful Mira.
A surprise encounter leads to midnight confessions. The more time Matt and Mira spend together, the deeper their relationship grows, and the love and attention Matt showers on Hagen is more than she has ever dreamed of. But Matt's sabbatical is only temporary, and Mira's not saving his father's company so she can leave it behind. Will their whispers of love be enough for one of them to change their life forever?

Sweet summer treat
Whispers at Seaside is a sweet addition to the already swoon-worthy Seaside Summers series.
Matt Lacroux is home for the summer, with a promotion off the table and a publishing contract in the works, Seaside is the ideal place for him to relax and unwind. He is a true gentleman, sweet and smart and the chemistry formed between him and Mira Savage is adorable.
Mira is a single mother who is employed by Matt's father, she is caring, cautious and incredibly smart with ambitions and aspirations she is just waiting to achieve. With the hardware store struggling, she is determined not to get too caught up in the crush that is 'Matt'.
The more time Matt and Mira spend together, the stronger their bond grows and the more he becomes a fixture in her and Hagen's life. The way Matt is with Mira's son is endearing, always taking the time to include him, appreciate him whilst also educating him.
This is by far one of my favourite books in Cole's series and I would recommend to anyone who would like a sweet treat to listen to over the summer.
The narration is on point, and I loved listening to the story come alive.
Falling for the boss’s son...
This is another sweet story by Addison.
When you work in a small, independent hardware shop in a small town, falling in love with your boss’s sonis perhaps not the best idea, yet this is exactly what Mira does. Unfortunately Matt lives too far away and works too much for her to anything, but admire from afar. Relationships aren’t easy or straight forward for Mira as she has her six year old son, Hagen to consider.
Matt is a Professor at Princetown, who doesn’t get home as much as he would like. This changes when he is given the opportunity to write a book. This sabbatical enables him to return home to the cape and reconnect with his family, and the beautiful Mira. An unexpected encounter leads to a deeping relationship, but can it get past their geographical distance to enjoy each other to see where their feelings could take them.
Addison writes about the blossoming relationship with the added complication of a young child very well, and beautifully. There is a lot of emotion on the pages, and once started, it’s a real struggle to leave.
I have also now enjoyed the audio book, and loved every minute of it. There are two narrators, which I prefer, rather than the one voice doing all the parts, and the voices work well together.
I have been enjoying audio books for a year now, and I love them. I can enjoy retreating into my favourite places while driving or through headphones while working. If you haven’t tried them, I recommend them :)
Tricks
I have loved all of the Lacroux family and Matt is no exception. He is a gentleman with a hot sexy side to him. His and Mira's love is a slow burn a true friends to lovers romance. They take it slow as they are conscious of Mira's young son (who Matt is lost for as he reminds him so much of himself as a youngster) and the uncertainty of Matt's location. How can Mira resist Matt when he is so good to both her but most of all the other man in her life her young son. It was great to read about the antics of the Seaside girls. Once again Addison Cole has weaved a story you want to dive into and wish you could live with all these beautiful characters.
