Sunsets at Seaside
I was given this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. The narration is clear, emotive and had me transfixed in the Seaside world. The enthusiasm in the story is clear and it was the ideal listen when I’ve been on the go to and from work.
When computer geek Jamie Reed meets musical virtuoso Jessica Ayers, their lives change for the better. Jamie allows himself to take a step back from being a driven businessman, when Jessica allows herself to open up her life to the prospect of love. The couple overcome the prospect that Jessica is not really who she says she is, and the potential damage that their love can hold in regards to Jamie and his work.
Like all Addison Cole books the couple's romance blossoms in a really sweet and cute way, from throwing a phone from a seaside deck, to sharing each other's life stories and falling into a love that they are unable to resist. Jessica is sweet, cautious and is determining whether she has chosen to live her life the wrong way, when Jamie has been working so hard to become a billionaire that he'd barely given his personal life much attention.
It's fun, sweet, romantic and allows you to be encapsulated in a world you wish you could remain a part of. I'd definitely recommend to all romance lovers, or people wanting to try an audiobook for the first time.
A perfect sweet read
This was a great sweet read and was so perfect for a day at the beach. It was a book about trusting love and finding that one person who fits into your life as you explore. Jessica is a cellist and is always pushed by her mum to have the career she wasn't able to when she had to give up being a cellist. She has a month to find who she is. She meets Jamie at the place she is staying after finding him with her phone as she threw it in frustration. Jamie and Jessica get together but mark, James best friend and lawyer, has a few choice and upsetting words for her and her life is then turned upside down. She leaves for her job but what happens next. Well this is the point you buy the book to find the ending. I loved this book, the storyline and the characters within it. Fast paced, sweet but seriously sexy clean romance between 2 successful people from opposites worlds
Sunsets at Seaside is a fast paced, well written, sweet but seriously sexy clean romance set in an idyllic seaside town between two successful people from opposite worlds not looking for love but finding it unexpectedly. The ease in writing style in which Addison Cole uses really allows the reader to visualise the scenes playing out in vivid detail, enhancing the escapism to an idyllic place that this series offers readers, something that I loved.
Jessica and Jamie have successful careers but both have that something missing that stops them leading a fully content and happy life. The sizzling chemistry between them pops off the page from the moment their paths cross (in a rather unique way) and their connection only continues to deepen as they grow closer. The sub-characters of the other familiar seaside residents really helped explore Jessica’s character in varying ways, while Jamie’s relationship with his grandmother, Vera, will have you swooning at his sweet side.
As a huge fan of this series, I can easily say Addison Cole is the queen of saucy! I cannot wait to read the next book in this series and highly recommend!
