Publisher Description
The story revolves around lives of Two men who are out in the wild of the north. Their dogs disappear as they are lured by a she-wolf and eaten by the pack. They only have three bullets left and Bill, one of the men, uses them to try to save one of their dogs; he misses and is eaten with the dog. Only Henry and two dogs are left; he makes a fire, trying to drive away the wolves. They draw in close, and he is almost eaten, saved only by a company of men who were traveling nearby.

Review
Jack London writes eloquently about the life of White Fang - with some anthropomorphism but always qualified that the wolf doesn’t think or understand that way. It just is as it is.
A tough read given the cruelty towards White Fang but an excellent one.
White Fang....Simply the best!
I first read this book some 65 years ago and fell in love with the North and this magnificent animal. It moulded my life to respect and wonder at nature and the power of words.
It still enthrals me after all this time. The style of writing is strange compared to modern books but forget that and be carried away in sheer enjoyment.
From 6 to 46 it’s never boring
I first read this at the age of 6, I’ve read it several time’s and now at 46 I’ve just read it again. The way it’s told and the narrative of this animals life and the surroundings he lived through is amazing and I love it so much. Read it to your young ones and let their imaginations run wild!
