***50 MILLION TERRY BROOKS COPIES SOLD AROUND THE WORLD***
THE SHANNARA CHRONICLES IS NOW A MAJOR TV SERIES
'Terry's place is at the head of the fantasy world' Philip Pullman
For centuries, the Four Lands enjoyed freedom and peace, protected by a magical barrier from the dark dimension known as the Forbidding. But now the unthinkable is happening: the ancient wards securing the border have begun to erode - and the monstrous creatures imprisoned there are poised to spill forth, seeking their revenge.
Young Elf Arling Elessedil possesses the means to close the breach, but her efforts may be doomed when she is taken captive. The only hope lies with her determined sister Aphen, who bears the Elfstones and commands their magic. Now the fate of their world rests upon her shoulders . . .
Praise for Terry Brooks:
'A master of the craft . . . required reading' Brent Weeks
'I can't even begin to count how many of Terry Brooks's books I've read (and re-read) over the years' Patrick Rothfuss, author of The Name of the Wind
'I would not be writing epic fantasy today if not for Shannara' Peter V. Brett, author of The Painted Man
'If you haven't read Terry Brooks, you haven't read fantasy' Christopher Paolini, author of Eragon
The Dark Legacy of Shannara:
VOL. 1: WARDS OF FAERIE
vOL. 2: BLOODFIRE QUEST
VOL. 3: WITCH WRAITH
Thirty-six years after the publication of The Sword of Shannara, valiant elves and druids are still swiping away at evil creatures threatening to burst out of the Forbidden to threaten the Four Lands. Brooks concludes his nigh-interminable latest Shannara trilogy with a protracted quest to regenerate the Ellcrys, the magic tree that sustains the lands and contains the monsters in the Forbidden. Along the conventionally tortuous way strewn with unpronounceable fiends, Dark Lords and sorceresses, talking lizards, and well-intentioned callow youths, Brooks sprinkles a doomed love story featuring Aphenglow Elessedil, while Aphen s sister, Arlingfant, must confront the high price demanded by the Ellcrys. Diehard Shannara fans may savor these inflated chronicles, but others will find themselves helplessly stranded in watered-down-Tolkien country.

I need to read them all!!
First time reading Terry brooks and started with this trilogy not knowing there was an order
I have loved this trilogy so will definitely be going back to the beginning and reading them all
Fantastic trilogy , shannara at its best
It will never end......
Yes, we've been here before, demons, witches, dragons, furies, elves, men, dwarves, all mixed in with diminutive ladies and flighty youths with legacies and lives to discover, lead, lose and develop.
Brook's delivers to perfection the post-apocalyptic Shannara world, that never tires the reader, bringing more than hope that long may it continue.
Witch Wraith is another classic from the Master of Fantasy's pen. I should have been out on my bike by now but I felt Redden, Railling and all needed my undivided attention these past closing chapters, I think I did my bit to help.
Are the Four Lands heading full circle now? There are factions, weapons of mass destruction, air travel and more than enough mystery to bring ones mind into the modern world!
Will the King of the Sliver River be moved to act in the future?
Only Terry Brooks knows this, but I for one hope his pen never runs dry, whatever he writes.
It's safe outside for now, time for a cycle ride.
