About the author
Jenny Colgan was born in 1971 in Ayrshire. After Edinburgh University, she worked for six years in the health service, moonlighting as a cartoonist and a stand-up comic. She is now working on her fifth novel, and a TV series.

Shocking
I have read the majority of Jenny's books and eagerly await new releases, but this book... Oh my god this is terrible. When I have read her many books in the past they have been real page turners and I haven't been able to put them down but this book I couldn't read quick enough to get it over with, I kept reading it (instead of binning it off) in the hope that it would improve... Sadly it didn't! As has been said before, don't waste your money on this book, but would add this is not a true reflection on Jenny's talents!
Oh dear
I love jenny colgan's other books for light hearted easy read but this is terrible. Absolute drivel. They have clearly re covered something old that was a flip to match her recent more successful novels ( cake shop etc). I rarely have to skip through sections of things but this is turgid. A laboured Arthurian legend link adds to the horror. Harper Collins should no better then to publish this nonsense and do 't waste your money.
