Misbehavin' in Moonstone

When the men of Moonstone stop showing up for Friday night fish fries, Kirsten Peplinski has a problem. Her restaurant is failing, and the culprit is a floating topless fishing show parked just offshore on Lake Superior. The solution, according to the women of Moonstone, is Kirsten, twenty-five years old, an accidental interim village president, and the worst possible choice for the job.

The boat's owner is Jonathon VanBrocklin, tall as the moon and charming enough to make her forget every word she came to say. He has a Tiffany ring and an outrageous proposal: the boat disappears if Kirsten agrees to marry him. She has a better idea. She just needs to stop being dazzled long enough to use it.

But Kirsten is carrying secrets that could unravel everything she has worked for. The women of Moonstone are counting on her. And somewhere between failed negotiations, a bikini counterattack, and a chef who makes apricot-stuffed trout taste like destiny, she starts to wonder if getting rid of Jonathon is really what she wants.
