Astronomy

This book looks at the history of Astronomy and how we have evolved our understanding of the Universe around us.  It covers Newtons Laws of Motion and Gravity, as well as how Einstein changed our view of Gravity.  It looks at basic information about our solar system including the Planets, Dwarf Planets, Comets, Asteroids and Meteors.  It covers how we explore space, the Electromagnetic Spectrum and The Big Bang. This book is designed to align with the Maine Learning Results, AAAS’s Benchmarks for science Literacy and provide the foundational knowledge required to meet the NGSS.
