In the aftermath of the orbital strike on Mu, Alistair Jung is drowning his guilt while reports from the colony detail civilian massacres committed by an extremist group of soldiers dressed in black. Having received no communication from his brother Wesley, who is overseeing the security of the colony, he is persuaded by Oscar to attend a summit on the misty planet of Brasil to negotiate a treaty with the CERE which will establish strict regulations regarding the use of dreadnoughts and warfare conducted in outer space. With their fathers preoccupied by the war, Alexander takes responsibility into his own hands and sets out to stop Nicholas’ bullies, only to discover his cousin is destined to walk a darker path than even the Three Sons.
