In the near future, the world was transformed by Sinkind, an electronic intelligence born in Yokota Kowloon. Society was divided into two regions.
One was New-Tera, a sustainable society where labor was unnecessary thanks to new technology. The other region, Old-Tera, clung to the traditional values of capitalism, democracy, and the internet.

In 2055, ten years after the 'Two Minutes War,' the last interstate war, Phong, a Sinkind developer, now travels as a Deathbed Master. He accepts a request from Asura, a first-generation Sinkind, and sets out with Layla, a Neohuman girl, to deliver something to Yokota Kowloon. However, Edmundo Sanchez, a global religious leader and the sole survivor of the 'LA Death Row Experiment, tries to stop them......

This futuristic novel depicts one possible future derived from predictions about technological and social change.

A Truly Original Story

I was especially struck by the protagonist’s future profession, known as a “Deathbed Master.” It made me seriously reflect on what the world might become.
The novel explores many profound themes: how AGI could be created, what human consciousness truly is, the problems that may arise in a world where AGI exists, and possible ways to overcome them. It also presents bold ideas about a post-capitalist and post-democratic society, and how such a future might be built.
I felt this is what true science fiction should be.
The writing is vivid and cinematic, full of powerful imagery. And I was completely captivated by Leyla as a character.

Truly impressed by the originality of the story.

This novel felt like watching a sci-fi movie. The writing is very easy to read, and I was truly impressed by the originality of the story.
It takes place in a future world where highly advanced electronic intelligences known as the Sinkind exist. In New-Terra, their technology provides basic needs—food, energy, and housing—completely free. Meanwhile, in Old-Terra, outdated political, economic, and religious systems still remain.
Phong, a former developer of the Sinkind, and Layla, a first-generation neohuman, travel between these two worlds, and through their journey the story raises profound questions about consciousness, life, and identity. It is a deeply philosophical work.
One of the most unforgettable elements was the past incident known as the “LA Death Row Experiment,” which was genuinely horrifying.
This is a story worth reading especially now, in an age where AI is becoming increasingly dominant.
