John Milton (1608-1674) was an English poet and polemicist. Moreover, John Milton was a man of letters and a civil servant for the Commonwealth of England under Oliver Cromwell. His poetry and prose describe deep individual persuasions, an aspiration for freedom and self-determination, important points and political instability of his day.

"Paradise Regained" is a poem by John Milton. It was first published in 1671. In this book Milton tells a story about the fallen angel Lucifer and the loss of innocence through Adam and Eve’s original sin and their expulsion from the Garden of Eden.
