With an engaging narrative, Teri Griege - with the assistance of author Amy Marxkors - chronicles her journey from alcoholic and drug addict to defiant cancer-fighter and Ironman. After she is given a death sentence in the form of stage IV colon cancer, Teri responds by training for one of the most grueling endurance events in the world.
