A Storm is Rising.

After his wife left to be with her people until the birth of their heir, The General's desperation and longing drove him far beyond the realms of morality. Now he's regained the powers he believed were lost, and he's determined to reestablish his control in his kingdom. However, the power he tries to wield has a stubborn resistance of its own, and fights him at every turn, leaving a trail of bodies between the pair and only angering The General more with each fight. Unsteady and enraged, The General's wrath turns towards this thing he tried too hard to regain, and he's determined to force it back into submission beneath his rule.

Oblivious to her husband's manic slaughter regions away, Cerynn seeks out her version of control over her people, longing to unite the Àraid and Rak and end the war. She quickly learns they have no desire to follow her, much to her own frustration, and finds herself longing for the glitter and power of The General's castle. The longer she spends among her people, the more she realizes their kingdom isn't one she fits into anymore, and, after her pride is injured, she's forced to confront her own power-hungry decisions and pick a side once and for all.

Worlds collide in violence and bloodshed as both rulers are forced to choose just how far they're willing to go to preserve the life they've built.

But will those they walk on allow the storm to keep rising in their destructive wake?
