Silent Tide

'A tightly-plotted, relentlessly gripping page turner. DCI Boyd is a force to be reckoned with.' - JD Kirk

'Tense, intelligent, gripping... DCI Boyd feels like the right Detective at the right time' - Alex Smith

The tide brings everything back

DCI Boyd has left London behind for a new start in Hastings. Newly appointed to East Sussex CID, he barely has time to settle in before the first case lands on his desk: a wealthy local businessman and his young wife have vanished in the English Channel. Their yacht has been found. They haven't.

The grisly remains onboard indicate something terrible happened at sea. But as Boyd begins to unravel the couple's final movements, a trail of clues points towards a secret someone would rather keep buried. And the deeper Boyd digs, the closer the danger comes to home. Because the sea isn't the only thing keeping quiet. Someone knows what happened aboard that yacht.

A secret that needs to remain silent...

Silent Tide is the first in the DCI Boyd crime series from Alex Scarrow. Perfect for fans of JD Kirk, Simon McCleave and Rachel McLean.
