Earth has been wounded. The technologically triumphant civilisation that spanned the globe grew out of control, poisoning the land and throwing the climate into chaos. 

Gulpari Tir has seen first-hand the corruption and inequality of a society consuming itself. Intent on fixing what has been broken, she heads off to university to study engineering, sure that with knowledge and dedication the broken cities can be rebuilt, and a prosperous future can be available to all.

Mountain Rain sees the world for what it is, polluted and injured, yet still beautiful. They have a fulfilling life, restoring the ecology, cleaning up the poisons, and nurturing the plants they adore.

Traversing the same, vast landscape of Central Asia – yet worlds apart – each believes they understand the world they seek to repair, yet neither is aware of malicious forces moving in the shadows. There are people who are willing to do anything — and kill anyone — needed to achieve their goals. If they cannot be stopped, then chaos and destruction may consume all of humanity.
