My life is finally only my own, now that my siblings are grown up. Naturally, my car breaks down only miles from my destination of Nordquist. I know better than to trust any man that stops to help, but something about Maverick is different. And his offer of a job I can actually do is too good to resist. Because truthfully, I was scared about being homeless in a strange town.

Mav is a good guy, it's only through his brothers that I learn he has stronger feelings for me but is too much of a gentleman to tell me. It almost seems too good to be true, but that's worth running to not away, right?
