Alody has a complicated history, but after being sold as a child, trained to assist heroes, and cloned, she was sold again. Now she is in a good place with a simple job, and her son is in one of the best schools in the city.

When she gets an emergency call from her son, she leaves work and does what she was trained to do. She gets there, saves lives, and gets them to safety. Unfortunately, she did it all on camera, and her simple life now hangs in the balance.

Her clone saw the rescue and contacted her. They have been living parallel lives but didn't realize they had settled in the same city.

Diena has her own complicated history. She denied the lab she was raised in any hint of the power she carried from her genetic progenitor. She registered as an active, but no one could determine her skill set. Once she was cut loose from the program that literally owned her, she began to answer the compulsion that her skills pushed her to. Need. She answers need using any and all means necessary, just like her mother did.
