The Researcher Project
Year 11 Independent Psychology Studies
Descripción editorial
After the 2020 GCSE examination series was cancelled, the Year 11 at Bedford Girls’ School undertook a range of bridging work designed to help prepare them for the challenge of Sixth Form.
The Year 11 Psychology groups had the opportunity to undertake two projects. One - the outcomes of which can be found in the sister iBook to this publication - gave students free-range to choose from a variety of projects linked to potential future careers drawing on Psychology. The second was to design, conduct and write up a report on a questionnaire survey investigating a psychological topic. The reports produced by the students can be found in this book.
Students worked independently to research areas of interest, develop operationalised hypotheses and construct appropriate measures to investigate these predictions. After analysing their results, they aimed to use the appropriate scientific format to write up their work.
In the course of these reports, you will see some students reference their appendices; these are not actually contained within the book, to keep it from growing unwieldy. However, students did provide these appendices when submitting their reports - to keep the experience of report writing as authentic as possible.
