Cute, endearing and the perfect couple
I think this must be one of the author's cutest and loveliest books ever! At the end of the story I had tears in my eyes because these two people were so perfect for each other, understood so well what the other needed and wanted and were willing to do that little bit extra to make the other feel how special they are.
I most of all loved how the author showed the impact of the hero being deaf. She found the perfect balance. Without making a drama of the fact that he couldn't hear a thing, she did show us that not being able to hear anything does complicate a lot of things and does sometimes lead to some really awkward situations. The author also showed us a lot of solutions to avoid these situations though!
And then there was the siren lore. Although the heroine in this story, the siren, was endearing and sweet, it's clear that her song can do a lot of harm and she wants to do everything she can to avoid that. I like how the author showed us how hard it is to against your instincts and to not do the one thing you love so much.
I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series!
