A lot of fun and a lot of trust
This book was a lot of fun! Plot-wise it's, as always, not an action-packed or really thrilling novel but throughout the book I kept on smiling and laughing. The curses these two came up with were just really hilarious and I also loved how the curses were constantly playful and fair and also a lot of fun for the two people involved.
As a Dutch girl I'm not really familiar with cheering but the author does an amazing job giving me a feel of what cheering must be like. It's quite clear in this book that it's a lot more than just simply yelling a lot and jumping around. It's a sport. The training sessions sound quite brutal and even dangerous and it's clear that the pressure is absolutely real too.
Luckily these two pixies have each other to lean on. Quite literally. I like how this book emphasizes how important trust between two people is. Trust while training and performing, of course. But also trust in a relationship, friendship and any other relationship. And the moment either of them is afraid of that trust being broken they have a serious and good conversation about it.
I will never get enough of these books!
